Plausible is great, but you might want more
Honestly, Plausible is a solid choice. It's privacy-focused, simple, and does what it says on the tin. If you're happy with it, there's no shame in sticking around. It's one of the better ones out there.
But if you've ever wished you could see who's on your site right now and not delayed in any way, Visitors might be worth a look. We stream events via WebSockets. The moment we know someone has landed on your site, you'll see them on the globe. No polling, no delay.
Plausible also aggregates all visitors into a single number. That's fine for stats, but it means you can't see individual journeys or identify returning users. Visitors gives you the power to optionally identify logged-in users and see exactly how they navigate your site across multiple days or devices.
We also built performance tracking from the ground up. Core Web Vitals, page load times, and an Experience Score that tells you how your site actually feels to real users. You can filter by country, device, browser, or page to find the pain points. Very few analytics services offer this, and Plausible doesn't either.
However, the realtime experience is where we really shine. Plausible shows basic stats, and a small flat world map widget. Visitors renders your live traffic on an interactive 3D globe where you can click individual visitors to see where they're from, what page they're on, how often they're visiting, what technology they're using and more.
We're also obsessive about design. Analytics dashboards shouldn't feel like enterprise software. Visitors is built to look and feel like a modern product you actually enjoy checking in on.
Plausible does however have funnel analysis that we're still building. But if realtime streaming, visitor profiles, and performance insights matter to you, Visitors delivers.
